Nicole Skarlatos Concentration Progress

Concentration
Movement, Balance, Sequence, Space, Montage

Composites
Multiple images of the same subject within one image.
Adding brushes to images in order to give an abstract feel (may become my new focus).
Wings will tie in my images together

Test Images (others are still in progress)
Description: This image will be one of the first images that will be in collection of images. The image is bright and will give off an angelic feel and as the viewer continues through each image, the view will see that each image will become progressively darker.
Description: This image will be one of the later images that the viewer will see as he or she goes through each image. This will become one of the darker images however this one is an example of the theme in the transition towards darkness.
Description: This image an example of one of the final images that will be consumed with an overall dark feeling. However, I am beginning to think that perhaps color should still be used. The difference with the final images and the first images would be the brightness. Now I think I will consider my subject to be more contrasted than exposed.
Growth
The series of photos will progress from high exposure to normal exposure to contrast. Images in the beginning will be lighter than the ones in the end. This will achieve growth as each image will build on from the last. More of the same subject will be replicated in order to gain sequence and movement. The progressive coloring will achieve a mood change from angelic elation to ominous gloom. The integration of movement, sequence, color, and contrast will create an end result of growth.

Critiques
Surrealism has to do with environment.
Add fire?
Use a more natural environment.
Use actual wings.
Lower exposure so you have more intense detail.
Real environment with interesting objects.
