Rachel Emig Concentration

With Solve Sundsbo inspiring the concept, my concentration idea is to do some kind of pieces have a (nature based?) graphic element with a large focus on pattern or negative space. Ideally these elements will broach from the subject’s (in a portraiture situation) face and into the surrounding area, on their bodies and around to create an impactful, stylistic negative space.I'm not 100% confident in the concentration because I feel like it is very ambiguous and may not communicate clearly on it's own. I also feel like it isn't reaching enough into an original concept.

My first attempt was not a portrait, but I believe I will be sticking with more human oriented content, even though physical objects are more widely available.

The second was more human oriented, but I don't feel like the flow worked as well with the photo artistically as a whole. What can I do in regards to the background and surrounding environment to make this a stronger piece?

The third attempt was more successful, with a more powerful first impact due to the combination of lighting pattern and echoing of effect and curves along the opposite side of the portrait. There are some arrangement issues I would like to fix.

This is my most recent piece, which stepped far out of my comfort zone. I'm still trying to figure out what I can add to the surrounding environment to make it a more cohesive design. It is a gif because I am currently in the process of creating a way to integrate all of these colors into one 2d image, or decide on a single color scheme. The entire design is hand-drawn and designed.
