Your use of positive/negative space is really awesome. I also like how the bridge works as leading lines and leads me to the subject. I like the first and last photo compared to the middle.
Personally, I like the first image the most. Perhaps you could do one with a mostly-colored image, but a grey mirror. I like the vibrance of the color and how the photos clearly show the subject.
I think the way you are masking inside the mirrors is really clean! Maybe a thought you can use, say there is a street in a city and the mirror is laying on the floor in the middle of the street. You can maybe mask a hole into the mirror making it look like the mirror formed a hole in the ground.
I think maybe you should consider using a mirror without a frame and maybe locations with water and more mirror reflections. Overall, it looks really good.
The first of the third I think capture your concept the best. I love your idea and I think its interesting to see half black and white and half color, maybe you can try switching it, making the black and white in the image she is holding, then make the rest color?
I like the first one the most. It grabs my attention the most out of the three because of the different colors. In the first one, it is easier to see that the image is being repeated inside the mirror so I think it goes more with what you are trying to do.
The first one caught my attention the most. If you wanted to go with a black and white theme with emphasis, I would recommend that you contrast your images more. The black and white images convey too much negative space on the top whereas the colored image shows a transition in the clouds from a dark-ish blue to a light grey which solves the issue with negative space... I would stick with color, unless you consider cropping out some of sky which also fixes the issue with negative space for your black and white images. But out of all of all the options I would recommend you stick with the colored image.

ReplyDeleteFrom the three pictures, I personally like the first one the best. When it comes to landscape and nature, color is a lot better than monochromatic.
