I think the first image is really good and strong. It goes along with your theme well, but the second one, I think you need to darken her face more because the background is a bit overpowering her face.
I think the second photo is the stronger of the two. She really blends into the photo and feels like she is supposed to be there. The first one feels like the girl is too imposed.
The second photo is very good background. For the person in the photo you should play with the overly of make some part of her more detail and make part of her cover more the background in the photo because like now she just blending with the background too much.
