Spilled Ink

This image was supposed to be converted into a statue but something just was not working so I decided to convert it to breadth. Statue conversions are harder then I'd thought they'd be. So this image turned into a sort of dirty spilled ink image. I made two versions where one contains the contents of the image and the other looses the detail a little. Not sure which one looks better.

  1. I like the first one better because there is more emphasis on the face.

  2. I, too, like the first one more because the face shows more, BUT the second image looks more like real ink. I'd suggest playing with opacity and blending effects with both images on the same canvas.

  5. I think this would look good if the person was left-justified so the negative space would be in front of her face as opposed to behind it.

  6. I really like these images. To a certain extent, I like them more than I like the stature images. I also like the top image, because of the facial emphasis. Maybe you could try combining the spilled ink and the statue, I think that would be a very interesting combination.
