This an update of my concentration. I have changed my idea to "what it feel like to be on certain drugs". While taking inspiration Bryan Lewis Saunders who did a whole project on this topic but instead he drew pictures of himself. I will research these drugs and use his images to make my pictures as close to what it feel like as I can. The first one is a example of LSD and what it feels like to be on it. The second one would be an example of mushrooms.

ReplyDeleteRight now it kind of looks like the photos just have a photobooth filter over them.
I think for this idea to work you need to make it more like through the eyes of the person on drugs, not a picture of someone making a weird face. You could make something normal look very strange to get your point across like in surrealism. Right now it just looks like pictures of people making faces with a filter on top.
ReplyDeleteI think that if you took more professional photos it would significantly improve the quality of your pictures. Taking photos in the studio and adding the effects to those photos would help the "photo booth" filter look. I agree with Lindsey's comments as well.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kayleigh. I think that you need to take more professional pictures. I think the top one is not strong at all, the picture is at a weird angle and the filter definitely looks like a photo booth filter.
ReplyDeleteThis idea could be interesting to work with... I would recommend you try to take very high quality pictures of people's eyes and when you do you could enlarge their pupils. Either within the iris or the pupil you could do a sort of double exposure look and place another image on the iris or the pupil. Manipulate that image and perhaps you would be able to show a more drug-like theme... Maybe you could have your models pretend to be taking the drugs??? I don't mean show the drug or advertise it in anyway, but if the drug is consumed by smoking, then make the model appear as if he or she is doing that action? Maybe hide the "object" they are holding? What is also important is your growth.. How are you planning to grow from this?
ReplyDeleteI like the idea and it could work out well. I think maybe it would look a little mosre complete if you took the portraits in the studio rather than outside the studio.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like some filters over an image. As everyone else is saying, taking it into studio would be be better for the person and what they are doing instead of what we have done with just pictures wherever.
