So far I have continued to use oil, ink, and water together. I added glitter to my work and plan to experiment more with having oil circles filled with solid colors of glitter on top of different colored backgrounds. Any suggestions would be welcome.
I think you have advanced a lot in your photos. I think that it is more intriguing when there is more of a patter, instead of just a circle. I would stick with the patterns and the paint swirling in the water.
ReplyDeleteThree out of the four photos are very strong, the weakest photo I would say is the second. The other three have the "bubble" that catches your eye and stands out, the second is lacking that "bubble" or emphasis on the glitter. My favorite photo is third because it is a combination of two colors, emphasis, and it is very interesting to the eye. Keep experimenting, I am amazed at how far you have come along and everything you are trying!
ReplyDeleteIt's really interesting to take your concentration in this direction. It's so different from what you were doing before. I like this a lot better because the colors look a lot more defined and less muddled together. The only thing I would critique is the dark edges on either side of the third image. I don't know if those are there on purpose, but for me it looks like they don't belong.
ReplyDeleteThank you! The dark edges are parts that will most likely be cropped/edited out. I think the whole "bubble" effect really helps the colors/glitter stand out, yet still be part of the whole.
DeleteI agree with Kayleigh, I too would stick with the patterns and the swirling paint you have in your liquid.
