Concentration Update

Right now, I'm working in Delaware (because I went to see my grandmother for the first time in over twelve years), during my break, on my slow laptop... Anyway, here's a piece that isn't for a specific illness, but medication used to fight various mental inflictions. It's nearly impossible to find medication that doesn't have poor side effects.
For example, I used to take a medication that I needed to produce a normal amount of serotonin, since I couldn't naturally do it; if I were to suddenly stop taking the medicine, I would likely go into seizures and convulsions. Problem is, said medication gave me headaches, made me shake a lot, and made me feel numb rather than happy. It was basically pointless and only made things worse.
TL;DR: Medicine can trap people in by having harmful effects, and being unable to be stopped.

Of course, not all meds are bad, this piece is just to represent the bad ones and how horrible that they are.

UPDATE: Nothing to say here, I'm just updating this so it'll appear as a newer post so I can actually get graded for it.

Concentration Update

This is one of the pieces I have been working on over break.  I shot in studio for this, then printed on water color paper, then painted with water color and acrylic paint.  Any suggestions or critiques?

This is another piece I've worked on over break.  I wanted to experiment with a simpler look with the paint as opposed to my first piece with purple.  I shot in studio and painted myself and then edited in photoshop.  I have also decided to use myself to model all of my pictures because it is easier and more convenient.

Concentration Update

Hey everyone hope you're all having an awesome Christmas break! I made some new pieces for my concentration. I have implemented stars that I made in Photoshop and put fog into the air as well. Hopefully this is a new way that I can show growth instead of using cloud pictures from the previous concentrations.

Finished Concentration Pieces

For this piece, I printed my image on watercolor paper with ink jet.  The ink bled so there was some color disorientation on the drip marks and they turned green, which I didn't like, and I messed up in some other areas.  When I took a picture of the now painted picture, I made sure to edit it to make it look exactly how I wanted.  I added more contrast and highlighted areas, as well as readjusting color. Please make any constructive comments or suggestions.

This was my canvas transfer.  Most of you saw the transfer process in class.  I then painted over the image and made the paint more defined then added the white part.  The white area might be added to depending on feedback.  I took a picture when I felt I was finished painting and began editing in photoshop.  I got rid of the lines from the transfer that had separated the image into four sections.  Please make any comments or suggestions.

New Concentration

I might be switching my concentration from my paint+water idea to my MC Escher inspired landscape and architecture distortions. Below are some pieces I have made. Thoughts? Ideas? :)

Concentration

This is my newest piece for concentration. It is just like my older pieces, so next time I use the studio I am going to use heavy whipping cream to get a liquid flow.
